EPSCoR Environmental Biotechnology Weekend

Date:
Friday, March 12, 2010 - 5:15pm - Sunday, March 14, 2010 - 12:00pm

Location: UD Virden Center and Delaware Biotechnology Institute

Environmental technology includes everything from satellites to water flow and is used to document changes in our environment. Knowledge gained is used by all, including: individuals; corporations; state, local and federal agencies; and yes, classroom teachers. Teachers need to be aware of these technologies, how they are used in the real world, and the employment opportunities they offer students. Technology is used to monitor our Delaware environments and this in-service helps bring those efforts into your classroom.

There is no charge to attend this workshop. Room and board are covered by the Delaware NSF EPSCoR grant. The workshop will begin with a tour of the DBI at 5:15 p.m.

Please use the registration form below to register and call Jay Taylor, (302) 645-4103, to make room reservations. If you do not select a roommate when reserving a room, one will be assigned to you.

Registration deadline is March 1, 2010. You must also register through the Delaware Teacher Center. If you have any questions, please email Bill Hall at bhall@cms.udel.edu.
