Lewes Library
Friday, September 21 9:30 am - 12:30 pm
This free, interactive workshop is aimed at helping seniors and disabled individuals assess their emergency planning needs and expand their support network.
The workshop will provide an overview of emergency planning best practices, allow participants to complete an individualized assessment of their needs, and connect them to experts, resources, and tools that will help improve their preparedness for weather emergencies and other hazards. Families and caretakers are welcome to attend and learn from the experts.
The event will take place at the Lewes Library on September 21, 2018. Registration is required because space is limited. Registration opens at 9:30am and there will be presentations, exhibits, interactive sessions, and a light breakfast served.
Sponsored by Delaware Sea Grant and the City of Lewes in partnership with the Greater Lewes Community Village, University of Delaware Institute for Public Administration, Lewes Board of Public Works, Delaware Emergency Management Agency, Citizen Corps, Beebe hospital, Delaware Health & Social Services, Brandywine Valley SPCA, Sustainable Coastal Communities Initiative, and Sussex County.
