Planning for Community Resilience

Coastal Hazards Specialist Danielle Swallow will be speaking to Sussex2030, a group of Sussex County residents who describe themselves as “concerned about responsible development of the County, preservation of the environment, and economic development of the area affectionately known as Slower-Lower-Delaware.”

Swallow will speak on resilience to climate change, understanding the risks from hazards like sea level rise and how these risks are growing, and how to incorporate climate change into land use planning. She will provide some specific land use strategies that promote community resilience as well.

The Sussex2030 meeting will be held virtually at https://us02web.zoom.us/j/85387583086?pwd=ZGhpanpSV0NMTHpIcHdSUnNLdE9RQT09
