On June 9, join Delaware Sea Grant and Dr. Art Trembanis as we learn how researchers at the University of Delaware are using robotics to explore the aquatic world. During this webinar, Dr. Trembanis will discuss several of the technologies used in ocean exploration, such as remote operated and autonomous vehicles. He will also highlight how these tools are used by researchers to expand our understanding of the ocean. Dr. Trembanis’ presentation will be followed by examples of ocean exploration classroom activities and resources, presented by David Christopher, Marine Education Specialist for Delaware Sea Grant.
Dr. Trembanis is a professor in the School of Marine Science and Policy at the University of Delaware as well as Deputy Director of the Center for Autonomous and Robotic Systems (CARS) and the Director of the Coastal Sediments Hydrodynamics and Engineering Laboratory (CHEL).
