Workshop Description:

Are you an undergraduate or graduate student in an environmental science field, wondering what career path might suit you best? This workshop is designed with you in mind!

Led by professionals who have been in your shoes, you'll engage in activities focused on self-assessment and goal setting to align your values and skills with potential career paths. You’ll also learn how to use artificial intelligence (AI) to assist you in your journey. The workshop also includes a deeper dive into personal finances—understanding how job benefits impact your financial future—and practical tips on leveraging workforce development resources to prepare for your career. To wrap up, a panel of hiring managers from diverse environmental sectors will share insights about working in their fields and what they look for in potential candidates.

By the end of this workshop, you'll have the tools and knowledge to confidently explore career options, compare your values and skills to potential roles, and take the next steps toward a fulfilling career in environmental science.
